Eleventh Hour Games (EHG) is a fully remote indie game development studio with team members all over the world working on our breakout title, Last Epoch. We are looking for a skilled Senior Back-End Developer to support and help guide the continued development of Last Epoch. This is a full time position and work will be fully remote.

All Roles Senior Back-End Developer

Position Summary:

As a Senior Back-End Developer, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks across many parts of Last Epoch’s back-end services. This includes new feature development, debugging, and optimization for player data, chat and other key online services. You will be encouraged to use your experience and expertise to provide leadership in development, as well as guide junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop online game features and concepts in the back-end
  • Find or develop tools and processes to make the development process more efficient
  • Support live features and releases
  • Coordinate with your team to define development time-frames, dependencies, and areas of risk to be considered in project planning
  • Participate in team cross-training and mentoring of junior developers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of game development experience in a programming role
  • Available to work during core hours, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Central Time
  • Strong knowledge of back-end development for the server side needs of a live gaming service
  • Experience with PlayFab, EOS, or other popular Back-End game services
  • Demonstrable command of C# or similar language
  • Proficiency in writing clean, readable, and efficient code
  • Networking, DevOps, or LiveOps experience is a huge plus
